In a recent video shared on social media, the legendary quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement from the sport once again. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback began his video message by addressing his fans with a straightforward announcement.
“Good morning everyone, I’ll get straight to the point. I’m retiring, for good,” Brady stated. He acknowledged the significance of his previous announcement and explained the reason for his straightforward approach this time.
“I know the process was a big deal the last time I retired, so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you all know first,” he said.
Despite not being as emotional as his previous retirement essay, Brady expressed his gratitude towards his fans for their unwavering support. “I used up my one super emotional retirement essay last year, so I’ll keep this short. Thank you all so much for supporting me throughout my career,” he concluded.
Last night, Tom Brady was spotted at the premiere of the film “80 for Brady” in Los Angeles, marking the end of a season filled with ups and downs.
To describe this season for Brady as emotional and tumultuous would be an understatement. On the field, he experienced his first losing season in his 23-year NFL career as his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ended with a record of 8-9. Off the field, he went through a highly publicized divorce from his former wife and supermodel, Giselle Bundchen.
Recapping the career of Tom Brady would require a lengthy novel, but he is certainly deserving of the recognition. His notable achievements include seven Super Bowl titles, six of which were won during his time with the New England Patriots.
It was in Foxborough, Massachusetts that Brady, along with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick, helped establish the greatest dynasty in NFL history, if not all of professional sports.
