Vitality vs Dignitas – ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe

Dignitas will face Vitality in one of the most anticipated games of ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe. Both teams have struggled in the competition and a win for either of the two could very well change their fate. The match will be held in the best-of-three format on the 29th of April 2020. In this article we will have a comprehensive look at both teams and determine which side will come out on top.

Vitality

The French organisation has the potential to be a force to be reckoned with. Despite always having some roster troubles, the team has a habit of not going down easily. Each member of the side is capable of carrying his own wait, and despite struggling in the team chemistry department the side is no short of individual brilliance. Especially ZywOo, who we all know is one of the best French stars in the competitive landscape.

In their recent tournaments, the side had to settle for some disappointing results. The side was amongst the first teams to get eliminated in all of the tournaments they played so far in 2020, BLAST Premier Spring 2020, IEM XIV Katowice, and ESL Pro League S11 EU. This comes as a shock since in December 2019 the side won the EPICENTER after demolishing Mousesports in the grand finals.

Now looking at their campaign in the Road to Rio EU, Vitality has had a decent start. They lost their opening game against NiP but managed to recover against Complexity. Now they face Dignitas in what is surely a make or break game for both teams.

Dignitas

Dignitas is another solid side that refuses to be shot down in spite of the fact that they have been rated as one of the struggling teams. It is no denying that the side holds a very powerful roster which includes some of the most experienced players in the game. Yes, we are talking about the likes of GeT_RiGhT and f0rest, who are amongst the most decorated players in the competitive landscape of CSGO.

This new Dignitas side has the potential to be the best. Yet, their performance in the Flashpoint was not at all convincing. They failed to qualify for the playoffs after getting beaten by Gen.G in the deciding matchup. Their ESL One: Road to Rio EU campaign is also quite disappointing as they are dead last in their group with zero wins from the two games played.

Prediction: Vitality 2-1 Dignitas

Unfortunately, we believe that the struggles of Dignitas will continue. Since they are yet to look more like a team. The side needs to find it’s game-winning chemistry which will take time even for some of the best players in the world. Meanwhile, Vitality will just barely come out on top. Both teams have very disappointing recent statistics with Dignitas winning only one of their last five games and Vitality winning only two. Nonetheless, Vitality faced the likes of Astralis and OG, meanwhile, Dignitas struggled against the tier-two sides like LDLC and Heretics.
