Artur Beterbiev is a Russian professional boxer who currently holds the unified IBF and WBC light heavyweight titles.

Beterbiev was born on January 21, 1985 in Khasavyurt, Russia. He began boxing at a young age and quickly established himself as a top amateur boxer. He won multiple Russian national championships and represented Russia in the 2008 Olympics, where he was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

After turning professional in 2013, Beterbiev quickly made a name for himself in the light heavyweight division. He had a string of impressive wins and by 2017, he had a record of 11-0 with all 11 of his wins coming by way of knockout.

In October 2017, Beterbiev faced off against Enrico Koelling for the vacant IBF light heavyweight title. Beterbiev dominated the fight and won by a 12th-round TKO to become the IBF light heavyweight champion.

Beterbiev has since defended his title multiple times and in 2019, he added the WBC light heavyweight title to his collection by defeating Oleksandr Gvozdyk. He is currently considered one of the best light heavyweights in the world and has a professional record of 16-0 with 16 knockouts.
