Garena bans over 3.7 million players and introduces a new anti-hack system in Free Fire

Free Fire, the Battle Royale title of Garena, received a big update on 2nd June with a new anti-hack system. The system promises to permanently suspend the accounts of players who download and use third-party applications to gain advantages in the game. In recent months, Free Fire has been bombarded with thousands of hacks, generating several criticisms from players on the developer’s social networks. In this article, we will have a look at Garena’s new anti-cheat system.

The new anti-cheat system works against third-party software, APKs, and macros. These programs help in the gameplay, modify the game files, increase the speed of the characters, and improve the aim of the weapons. The measure seeks to combat the use of Wallhacks, Mod Vip, and Script, which are generally made available for free on Internet forums.

User accounts found to be using methods to obtain benefits will be permanently suspended from Free Fire. According to the Garena support page, the use of third-party software, exploiting bugs, making changes to the user, and any other behavior that gives an undue advantage over other players will be considered fraud. In the update notes, the developer reaffirmed that it will not be possible to reverse the suspension.

Garena is not happy with cheaters

In addition to the new anti-cheat, Garena was already adopting a series of practices against cheating players. The developer had increased the anti-cheat team and mobilized several fronts to mine new software and codes used to cheat, even those that are not common or that have never been reported. Since adopting the new anti-cheat system, Free Fire has suspended more than 3.8 million player accounts that use some type of hack.

In addition to the new anti-cheat system, players can also continue to contribute to the suspension of hacks in Free Fire. Players who are using third party applications can be reported by other users within the game itself in “Spectator Mode”. In the mode, click on “Report” and select the “Hack” option. The report can also be made on the Garena support page.

New character Wolfrahh

After spending a trial season on the Advanced Server, the new character Wolfrahh is also available in Free Fire after the update. Wolfrahh is a game streamer and professional esports player. Called “Center of Attention”, the character’s ability is to decrease the damage done to the opponents ‘head region, while increasing the damage done to opponents’ arms and legs.

New Pet Hawk

The new Falcão pet ensures that your squad is the first to arrive on the Free Fire battlefield. With the ability “Flying free” the Falcon increases the speed of gliding after the jump and increases the speed of the character’s fall after opening the parachute. The skills of this new PET will also be applied to all members of the team.
