The reigning Dota 2 world champions, OG will take on Alliance on the fourth day of the OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: EU/CIS. The match will take on 19th May and will be played in the best-of-three format.
OG
OG has had its fair share of troubles in April. The had a somewhat disappointing run at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS. The two-time TI champions showed great results in the groups but after that things fell apart. Since they lost 0-2 to Team Secret in the first game of the upper bracket. Then they lost 0-2 again to VP and were helpless in the grand final.
After settling with a second-place finish the side participated in the Pushka League. It was a total disaster since the side lost four games in a row to be eliminated in the group stage. They redeemed themselves with victories against Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Nigma. But were comprehensively dominated by Alliance, Team Liquid, Team Secret, and even their academy team, OG.Seed.
OG sits at an average record of just six wins from their last ten games. They started their OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS campaign with a deserving victory over HellRaisers. Yet they were again helpless in the semi-finals of the Gamers Without Borders Charity tournaments as they lost to Natus Vincere.
Unfortunately @natusvincere takes the third game and the series.

These roller coaster performances of OG can be attributed to the fact that the side is competing without its star mid-laner Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen. Since he was unable to participate in the tournament due to travel restrictions. His role is temporarily taken up by the former offlaner of the team Sébastien “Ceb” Debs.
Alliance
Alliance competed in the same three tournaments as OG and produced pretty synonymous results. The side led by Gustav “S4” Magnusson surprisingly finished at the seventh place in the ESL One LA after getting beaten by tier 3 side Vikin.gg. They made it to the second round of the playoffs in the Pushka League and was eliminated in the semi-finals of Gamers Without Borders. They got their redemption against Vikin.gg at the opening game of the OGA Dota PIT

Prediction: Alliance 2-1 OG
The last meeting between these two teams took place in the last week of April at the WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1, where Alliance was at the bitter end of a 1-2 defeat. Since then Alliance has shown a decent recovery with only three defeats from their last nine games. Meanwhile, OG continues to suffer without Topson with only four wins from eight games. The two teams are pretty close on their head-to-head performances and Alliance is well aware of how to test the vulnerable OG.
The arrival of Artsiom “FNG” Barshak has proved to be a blessing in disguise for Alliance. Since the stand-in player has been clinical in the recent steady form of the team. We are giving the edge to Alliance in this game and they will come out as the 2-1 winners.
