After a thrilling semifinal between G2 eSports and MAD Lions, all eyes are now on the grand finale. LEC Spring Split 2020 features two of the best teams in the competitive landscape of League of Legends. Fnatic will take on G2 Esports in the best-of-five series for the title. The winner will take home €80,000 and 90 championship points in the hopes of securing a spot for the Worlds 2020 that will take place later this year.
Fnatic
It is no doubt that Fnatic is the most convincing and impressive heading to the grand finale. The side only dropped one game in the playoffs, which was a troll-match against the struggling Origen. Nonetheless, they still make mistakes, especially in the drafting phase. Yet just like their rivals G2 they know how to make impressive comebacks and rise from the ashes.
The analysts believe that Fnatic is the best team coming into this final, however, they can still tend to crumble under pressure. They will come up against a very confident G2 eSports side who proved to be a force to be reckoned in the semifinal. Yet we still give advantage to Fnatic, since the team has simply been brilliant in the playoffs. They might have a couple of more defeats compared to G2, but it seems like they have learned from their mistakes. The entire roster seems to be in perfect shape and has only improved throughout the season. The man to watch will be Nemesis. He had his fair share of troubles in 2019 but has become a key member of Fnatic in 2020. He will be vital in Fnatic’s conquest for European glory.
G2 Esports
G2 simply demolished MAD Lions in the semifinals. Caps showed that he is one of the best players in the league and now the French organization is all set to meet Fnatic. G2 had its fair share of troubles in the playoffs, but the reigning champions came out blazing in the lower bracket. G2 capitalized on the inexperience of the young MAD side. Since, despite being on the backline in a couple of games of the series, the side made some impressive plays.
Now that is how you tame a lion! 🦁

Now G2 will have to fight tooth and nail in the upcoming final. Fnatic might have been a weaker side in the past, but they have surely learned from their mistakes and have shaped up to become a remarkable team. The final will surely be a clash of the titans and we are sure that we will see high-quality gaming by two of the best League of Legends teams in Europe.
Prediction: Fnatic 3 – 2 G2 Esports
Seeing the consistency and dominance of Fnatic it is no surprise that we pick them as the champion of the LEC 2020 spring season. G2 will give them a tough time since the side has shown great performance in the semifinal. Nonetheless, Fnatic has all the experience and talent to make sure that they walk out as the new champions.
