There are many esports teams that stand out in the bunch. One of the most prominent is the Faze Clan, known to enter tournaments that haven’t even been scheduled yet. The team, to date, has had the best success with Fortnite: Battle Royale.
This game has been extremely good to them and they have already won four inaugural events based on Fortnite competitions. And in 2018, the team competed in the TwitchCon Grand Finale event where they walked away as both first and second place winners. Their victory is even more impressive when you consider that the event was one of the toughest to date for Fortnite players.

The Rise Of Faze Clan
Despite their current success with Fortnite, the Faze Clan entered the esports industry as avid fans and players of Call of Duty. Initially the Faze Clan was simply a clan of gamers that broadcast on their own YouTube channel, which now has more than four million users subscribing to it. Since then they have also gone on to compete in tournaments for Overwatch, and Counter Strike: Global Offensive.Mainly in their early to mid-twenties, the all male Faze Clan is a passionate young group of gamers out to make their mark on the industry.
As of 2020, Faze Clan has been an active esports team for 10 years. Due to their success in the industry they have entered into various partnerships and even numerous collaborations.
One of their many collaborations is working with G Fuel, a company that produces energy drinks. This resulted in the creation of a drink called FaZeberry and an additional version of it called Sour FaZeberry.
Created to mark the team’s 10th anniversary, Faze Clan and G Fuel co-hosted an event they called #GFUELFaZeX Dream Setup. The event was designed to promote the drink by offering attendees a free sample of it.
Another of the Faze Clan’s collaborations is with Apple. It resulted in Faze Clan’s connection to Apple Powerbeats. The team sent a drone to Apple headquarters to drop the company’s line of professional looking earphones.
Overall, the Faze Clan has become so successful that the team is in the process of acquiring $40 million worth of funding, in order to help the team further grow and expand. The money will be used, in part, to add new players to the team.
Faze Clan recently announced they have entered into an agreement to partner with NTWRK, and Jimmy Iovine. The various investors involved in this new partnership include actors, musicians, and even traditional athletes, among others. NTWRK is an emerging shopping network that will be selling Faze Clan merchandise to fans.
The team is in great shape to start expanding into the global esports market. One of the ways in which they plan to do this is to create their own studio, which they will be doing with the help of a company called Sugar23 that Faze Clan is now partnering with. Located in Los Angeles, the studio will be used to record short episodes and films concerning esports.
Home Of Faze Clan
One of the reasons that Faze Clan is so successful is that they live like family. In fact, they share a large house in Los Angeles. They have made the city their home since 2016. The team is spread out in two different houses located on the same property. One of the houses is where the players live and the other house is where the team’s influencers live. Close by, the team is launching its own store, which they will run together.
In total, the team consists of 34 members who simply create content. 15 of the members are esports professionals, and the other 11 work as creators and players. Each member of the team has a part in creating its merchandise and other promotional materials. Advertising deals that have come the team’s way include agreements with Burger King and Nissan, among other Fortune 500 companies.
Faze Clan has set the bar for all other professional esports teams. Many of the more traditional teams are looking to Faze Clan as a role model. This team is poised to change the industry, making esports teams more diverse than ever.
