The critics officially declared the Super Mario Odyssey as one of the best games in the series. Super Mario has more or less become the ambassador of the Nintendo hardware. Super Mario Odyssey is not passionate in its desire to break the rules, but it does have some noticeable traits, which makes it no less than one of the most exciting games.
How the story of Super Mario Odyssey unfolds
Mario’s arch-enemy Bowser pulled his dirty tricks again and kidnapped Princess Peach intending to make her his beloved. Bowser travels from kingdom to kingdom, stealing an item from each which is necessary for his marriage ceremony. Amid this situation, Mario teams up with Crappy and boards on a flying ship Odyssey to chase after Bowser.
There are collectable coins and negotiable platforms, all happening in a restricted stage. You will notice that Odyssey no longer has traditional power ups. However, it gives the players many more gameplay options than ever before.

It is easy to lose oneself into the levels as you search for the collectables and secrets. You will be unconsciously spending more time in kingdoms purely because of searching for new rewards. Thankfully Amiibo can be made use of this time around in search for the Power Moons.
You can change the looks of Mario
Mario can now switch out of his traditional outfit in the Cap shop. There is massive variety including a football uniform, swimsuit, safari outfit, chef’s apron and hat, and much more. Players can also purchase new outfits with coins.
Mario will collect Moons in Odyssey
Mario will collect moon this time around in Odyssey known as Power Moons. The more the Moons, players can unlock more worlds. They can be obtained all over, unlike previous Mario games. Each world is full of dozens of moons, so players can take their time exploring the world for them.
There is also a unique reward upon collecting all the Power moons.
Cappy brings the Co-op mode
When playing the co-op mode, one player controls Mario while others grab onto the Cappy. Mario retains his original moves and sentient hat collects coins and attack enemies around the map. Meanwhile, Cappy assists Mario in solving puzzles.
Take selfies with Snapshot Mode
This feature allows the players to take a pause action and take a picture, at any point in the game. Snapshot mode also comes with image rotation, color modification, and image distortion option. Players can also upload these images directly to their social media.
Odyssey also comes with video capture mode. Players can make a 30-second clip and upload on Twitter or Facebook directly from their Switch.
Super Mario Odyssey is something special
Super Mario Odyssey is the type of game that can be familiar and revolutionary at the same time. Uncovering all the secrets and finding collectables might take several weeks, and the game is full of surprises that it forces you to keep playing.
