LeBron James, the NBA superstar, attended his son Bronny’s playoff game on Thursday night despite suffering from a foot injury. The game took place in Chatsworth, California, where Bronny’s team, Sierra Canyon, played against Etiwanda in a CIF State regional quarterfinal game.
Despite being injured and wearing a large walking boot, LeBron was front and center to watch the game, cheering for his son’s team. He was thrilled to witness Bronny’s incredible performance on the court. Bronny, who was recently selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game, scored 21 points and even threw down a massive dunk in front of his dad.
LeBron was clearly proud of his son’s performance and took to Twitter to express his joy. He congratulated Bronny and called him “SPECIAL,” encouraging him to keep going. Sierra Canyon’s Trailblazers won the game 61-55, thanks in part to Bronny’s impressive skills.
Sierra Canyon will now move on to the semifinals to face Bishop Montgomery, the tournament’s No. 2 seed. Fortunately, the Lakers are off on that date, so it’s likely that LeBron will be courtside again to watch his son play. It’s evident that LeBron is not only an incredible basketball player, but also a proud and supportive father.
